Virtual Standardized Patient Project

Virtual Standardized Patient (VSP) research will focus on AI, M&S, and mixed reality technologies. This effort will support standardized patient learning to augment human standardized patients resulting in increased scale and scope in the face of growing demand for standardized patient services and improved educational outcomes. The VSP models will support testing of the DP infrastructure and contribute to the DP model ecosystem. This project will create an AI-based analysis capability that provides a consistent, comprehensive review of Standardized Patient (SP) performance. This intelligent tool will provide quality assurance for SPs to facilitate assessment that provides comprehensive and consistent performance feedback to SPs.
