NCCMMS Success at IMSH 2026!

The NCCMMS Team presented multiple times during the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare 2026, aka IMSH, in San Antonio, Texas.

IMSH is the preeminent healthcare simulation conference, with over 5,000 attendees including over 100 vendors, all focused on learning, sharing, and conferring throughout the whirlwind five-day event.

The Dr. C. Donald Combs, Bob Armstrong and Dr. Jennifer Styron hosted a Hot Topic on the Virtual Standardized Patient project.  This was a quick-format high level presentation on this ongoing R&D project building an AI-based learner and standardized patient monitoring and assessment tool to augment faculty and standardized patient educator oversight, management, and assessment of these critical learning encounters.

Bob Armstrong sat on and presented during a panel titled “Next Generation Simulation: Leveraging Technology and Data to Advance Learning, Assessment, and Systems Improvement.”

Bob Armstrong co-authored a paper presented at panel event titled “New Technology Everywhere: What Else is on the Horizon?”

Carrie Gigray and Bob ArmstrongBob Armstrong, with non-NCCMMS colleague Carrie Gigray, co-hosted the pre-conference Technology Forum titled “Unleashing Potential – Removing Barriers to Technology Integration.”  The Forum was attended by 200 motivated simulationists from all across industry and academia.  A final Forum report will be published in the coming months.
